Google goes down, frustration goes up!
by Paul Gregory at 10:37 am on May 15, 2009
Yesterday as I suspect most people will know by now Google went down causing panic and disorientation throughout the web.
I imagine a lot of people like myself where blaming their internet connection! But no the unthinkable had happened the almighty Google had gone down.
Now as is traditional something only goes down when you need it most. There I was happily setting up an Adwords account when POW down goes Google. Of course initially I didn’t realise what had happened so my frustration grew and grew. I blamed our internet connection, I blamed my PC, I even blamed Norwegian referee Tom Henning Ovrebo (referee of the Chelsea v Barcelona match for those who are confused!).
Eventually however it became apparent that it was a problem with Google. How could this happen, not Google! This then led to further frustration. How could Google let this happen, don’t they know we need them!
Well today all is well with the world again. Google is up and running smoothly again, and it’s a Friday! But please don’t fail us again Google I’m not sure I could cope!
